Welcome, teacher friends! This newsletter has been on hiatus, but my desire to tell you all about great young adult and middle grade books never went away. Whether you are new or have been around for awhile, I hope you'll use these weekly book recommendations to help your students read (and think and write and discuss) as much as possible.

Mallory and her sister might be frauds who trick 18th century tourists into buying their spells and tours of haunted mansions, but they are likable frauds who are trying to survive after their mother's death. Recommend it to students who are ready to move on from Percy Jackson and who can handle a supernatural murder mystery (with a slow burn romance on the side).
